Project Title: “Carcass”
Project description: A flyer made for my Graphic Design class. I chose to do a flyer to promote the live concert of the band Carcass. All the important data that the viewer should know are there, and the most important stuff (what the event is about, and the date) are in bolder letter. As for the design, I chose to photoshop the symbol of the band, their logo, and a stock photo (to create a background). Then, I used InDesign to add the text, and prepare the poster for printing.
Media/Software used: Photoshop and InDesign.
Creation Date: Made during the 1st half of 2022.

Carcass Concert Poster
This was an exercise for Graphic Design Fundamentals class. We were tasked with creating a promotional poster for an event that was happening in our local area. I chose to create a poster for the band Carcass, a Death Metal band that was going to be playing in Miami at the time. I had to find a design and a logo that was related to the band in order to create this poster. This was created during the first half of 2023.
The poster was on its mid-stage. I had already in my mind the kind of composition I wanted (the icon in the middle of the poster with the gradient getting darker as it goes away from the icon), and had all the information present in the poster. But I still needed to work on the placement/alignment of the text itself, the hierarchy of the text, and special effects and aesthetics for the poster.
At this point, I had already finished the style for the poster. I had the icon in the right place, the logo had the right size and was exactly where I wanted it be, and I added some special effects using an image texture and blending modes in order to achieve this dark aesthetic that matches the advertised band. I just needed to add the text in InDesign.
At this point, the poster is finished; I had added the text and corrected its hierarchy using different sizes, font types, and blending options (transparency). The result is an edgy yet professional poster promoting a Death Metal band playing in Florida.
